Earlier this month, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend the Headshot Intensive by Peter Hurley. I cannot express how much I learned and the vast number of tools and resources that Peter put in my hands. If you are a photographer specializing in portraits or headshots or any type of people photography you must go. It’s a long two days, but so information, so fulfilling and worth every penny and then some. There are two key days in the Intensive. Day 1 is all about the learning, day 2 is all about the doing.
What is the real key take away from this workshop you ask? Well, that’s quite simple. You’ll learn how to engage and build a relationship with your client that will help you capture the best photographs you’ve ever captured. And let’s be honest, isn’t that the real struggle that most of us having? Getting a client that is terrified of a camera to relax, open up and be themselves? If you’ve ever had that tough client, or someone that made the exact same expression 101 times, this intensive is for you.
Most of us start out taking photos of our friends and our family. People that know who we are. But once you get in front of that first person that you don’t know, and they are paying you, and they are a stick in the mud. Well, you’re going to need some tools, and Peter’s workshop gives you those tools. I for one love having as many tools available to me as possible. When you have those tools, and you capture the image that makes your client say “that’s the best photo ever taken of me”. Well, that’s all it’s about isn’t it? Capturing an image that truly shows who that person is.
So, stop what you’re doing, head on over to the PH2Pro site and sign up for your intensive experience today!
And for your viewing enjoyment, here are just a few of my favorites from the intensive and I’m quite excited to get started with my new found talents.
