			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So a few weeks ago, three to be exact, I began chatting about losing weight.  Again.  In the past three weeks, I&#8217;ve actually gained 2 pounds.  Sad isn&#8217;t it?  Well, I&#8217;ve decided to chat about the failures along with the successes.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ve had parties and holiday&#8217;s and long days and so much going on in the past three weeks, it&#8217;s been a whirlwind time.  Unfortunately, i&#8217;m the type that is willing to go the easy route in these types of times.  It&#8217;s easier to just relax in front of the tv, or stop at Chick-Fil-A on the way home from work, or go out to eat and eat awful food because of time.  It&#8217;s sad, I know, but it&#8217;s me.  I&#8217;ve got to find a way to figure out how to get around this.</p>
<p>So I&#8217;m shooting for a renewed focus.  Since I met my wife, I&#8217;ve gained almost 80 pounds.  It&#8217;s sad, and it has to stop.  Feel free to bug me, push me, nag me on getting my life back under control.   Okay, my little rant is done, you can return to your regularly planned activities.</p>

		<title>A New Weight Loss Goal</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So this is my first post being written mostly from my BlackBerry.  Hopefully it won&#8217;t turn out too poorly.</p>
<p>A couple of weeks ago, I heard a radio ad about the Pound for Pound challenge.  With each pound pledged by me, a donation is made to our local foodbank.  As some of you may know, the topic of Hunger has become an important topic to me recently.  It bothers me that over 60,000 people in Baltimore go hungry each and every day.  Take a moment to really think about that.</p>
<p>Well now that there is an opportunity for me to combine a personal goal with a community need, I&#8217;m jumping right in.  Currently I&#8217;m weighing in at 240 pounds. Not healthy in any way.  So my goal for the pound for pound challenge is to lose 40 pounds.</p>
<p>I&#8217;d love for you to join us in supporting the Maryland Food Bank and their work against hunger.  We&#8217;ve setup a <a href="http://bit.ly/pfpbmore">FaceBook group</a> where everyone can connect and share their goals, successes and hurdles. 		<title>2 Weeks In: 6 Pounds Down</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>So I&#8217;ve now completed 2 weeks of my push to lose 40lbs by my birthday on June 15th, 2009.  This past week I lost another 3 pounds.  Made it to the gym 3 times, and ate decently well.  No soda again this week.  That&#8217;s two weeks now, and it&#8217;s starting to feel good.  I can feel the need for caffeine and such leaving.  I also had no fries this week, which is a huge thing for me.  Some chips snuck up on me, so that&#8217;ll be my next &#8220;no-no&#8221; item.  We&#8217;ll see how easily we can get through a week withought chips, and eating well.</p>
<p>I know it&#8217;s going to take some time, but I&#8217;m excited to be on the right path.  Got a lot of things to do today, so I&#8217;ll make this post short.  Make sure to chime in and offer ideas of support, let me know about your own journey, or pick on me a little if that helps.</p>
