POD: Writing in the Sky

So I got this idea from a video that I saw on Creative Live and thought it would be fun to try.  Katy picked up some sparklers for the girls, so we gave it a go.  What do you think?

I love this photo of Katy making some hearts with the Sparklers.

It's all about me right? Well, actually it's all I could come up with to do with the sparklers. A neat effect though don't you think?

POD – After Fireworks Fun

So, I’ve chatted a bit about my interest in getting better with a digital camera and video camera, and that journey is getting serious.  Last night I got the chance to get some tips from a good friend that knows so much more than I do in general, but specifically about photography.  We went to the fireworks in Catonsville and below are a couple of the shots I was most proud of accomplishing.  Without Aaron’s help, I’m positive I couldn’t have accomplished these on my own.

This is probably my favorite image of the night. I was playing with a longer shutter speed and happened to catch the guy sitting with the rainbow chair in the photo. How cool?

This is one of my favorite Fireworks shots. I love the color and lines and all of the yummy goodness.

Fighting Weight Loss Focus

So a few weeks ago, three to be exact, I began chatting about losing weight.  Again.  In the past three weeks, I’ve actually gained 2 pounds.  Sad isn’t it?  Well, I’ve decided to chat about the failures along with the successes.

We’ve had parties and holiday’s and long days and so much going on in the past three weeks, it’s been a whirlwind time.  Unfortunately, i’m the type that is willing to go the easy route in these types of times.  It’s easier to just relax in front of the tv, or stop at Chick-Fil-A on the way home from work, or go out to eat and eat awful food because of time.  It’s sad, I know, but it’s me.  I’ve got to find a way to figure out how to get around this.

So I’m shooting for a renewed focus.  Since I met my wife, I’ve gained almost 80 pounds.  It’s sad, and it has to stop.  Feel free to bug me, push me, nag me on getting my life back under control.   Okay, my little rant is done, you can return to your regularly planned activities.
