SEO Losing Weight Day 2: Not Soooo Bad…

So, here we are on day two, and it’s not so bad.  Yesterday I ate well, got to the gym, and took my vitamins.  All in all, I’d say it was a successful day one.  The one thing I’m sure will be tough though is the breaking from Caffeine.  This lack of soda is going to be the roughest on me, and I’m sure will lead to some serious rethinking of this initiative this week.

If you know some great ideas on how to clear caffeine out of my system with ease, I’d love to hear them!  Please feel free to pass them along.  I’m sure that will be a huge challenge, and I may have to sneak in a Hershey bar before the day is over.

On todays agenda is more healthy eating and a lap around the “Path To Health” at my office.  It’s a 1 mile walk around the campus I work on, and I think it’s going to be a great resource for me on the days I can’t get to the gym.  Keeping myself moving, that’s the key.  More calories out than go in.

90ish Days to Go – Off to a Good Start

So, this is my first morning with my new goal of really getting in shape.  I’ve reached a sickening weight, and it’s time to change this, and I’d like to do this in time for my birthday on June 15th.  I’m off to a good start!  It’s only been 12 hours, but i’m hanging in!  So, I’ve got gym dates set for this week, and I’ve had water, an apple and some grapes.  Interesting how we actually have healthy food around the house, who knew?!

So, I’ll start blogging, tracking, and sharing the ups and downs of this process.  One guarantee, I’m not going to do a “diet” or “fad plan” to get in shape.  Simply going to focus on eating better,  getting more active, and having fun in my life!  If you want to join me on the journey, feel free to sign up and tag along! :0)

Spinning Out Of Control – Time To Get In Shape

Okay…so I’ve been noticing that i’ve been ticking up on the scale, but don’t we all have that inside voice that tells us who we think we are, and what we think we look like?  Then, it takes one saddening photo to open your eyes to your own special horror.  I’m officially, and I’m sure it has been for some time, a fat, fat man!  And I hate it!

I’m done.  I’ve reached 239 1/2 pounds, and I’m sickened by it.  So, I’m going to get thin.  My birthday is on June 15th, and my wife’s birthday is June 9th.  I’ve decided that I’m going to lose 40 pounds, in just those 13-14 weeks.  This should be a very, very hard thing to do, but I must, must do it.  3 Pounds per week, and a healthy me will begin.  Now, once I get into the 190′s, I’m not going to stop.  I’d like to reach a target weight of 180lbs and then maintain that, all the while getting in better shape for my wife.

So if you know me, and you see me with a soda, or french fries or a bag of candy; STOP ME!  SLAP ME!! AND TAKE THE FOOD!!!
