SEO Losing Weight : Week 3 : A Step Back

So, this week was a tough one.  One where my focus and drive wasn’t what it should have been.  I made it to the gym 3 times, which is part of my goal, and I had no soda and no fries i succumed to fries at Red Robin last night.  All of my goals attained right? Wrong!

While I made it to the gym, I took the time to basically simply relax and hang out, versus really working out.  And this was only part of my downfall this week.  I also made the point of eating too much, and eating bad things at the wrong times.  This always happens, I get a couple of weeks in, and then bang, I hit a wall.  This time I’m breaking out though, breaking through.  Real effort will come in week 4.

Gotta get back on track and focus on my goal of getting in great shape for my family, and myself.  While I gained a couple of pounds back, I also picked up a new focus, fully understanding what got me where I am.

Watch out for a great week this week.

2 Weeks In: 6 Pounds Down

So I’ve now completed 2 weeks of my push to lose 40lbs by my birthday on June 15th, 2009.  This past week I lost another 3 pounds.  Made it to the gym 3 times, and ate decently well.  No soda again this week.  That’s two weeks now, and it’s starting to feel good.  I can feel the need for caffeine and such leaving.  I also had no fries this week, which is a huge thing for me.  Some chips snuck up on me, so that’ll be my next “no-no” item.  We’ll see how easily we can get through a week withought chips, and eating well.

I know it’s going to take some time, but I’m excited to be on the right path.  Got a lot of things to do today, so I’ll make this post short.  Make sure to chime in and offer ideas of support, let me know about your own journey, or pick on me a little if that helps.

SEO Losing Weight : Week One Complete

So it’s been a full week since I started my challenge to loose weight, and I accomplished two out of my three key goals.  So I’ll consider the week a success.  Especially since we had three different birthday “meals” / parties for my daughters 4th birthday.  I had hoped for three things in the past week.  Avoid french fries, soda and get to the gym 3 times in the week.  The only goal not accomplished was the french fries goal.  I did cut down my fries intake, but didn’t have a perfect week.

So, I will educate everyone on one key thing.  If you decide to begin losing weight, try and pick a non-eventful week.  Selecting a week with a birthday can really make it fun to loose weight.  So, the fact that I lost 3 pounds is stunning to me, considering how I ate.  A quick review of the week should help you understand!

Monday:  Ate Great, Went to the Gym, Had no Fries or Soda.  This can be achieved as there were no special occasions to get in the way.

Tuesday: Ate Okay, No Gym, Getting some work done and cleaning the house for the party on Saturday.

Wednesday: Ate Okay, Broke down and Had Fries with the kid at Chick-Fil-A, and a Cupcake that evening to celebrate her birthday.  But we did get to the gym.  So, perhaps that offset the fries.

Thursday: Value City Furniture Debacle, and Five Guys Intervention to Calm me for lunch. Small Group Day.  Didn’t eat well at all, and this was a big oh well day.

Friday: Chaps BBQ for Dinner.  Sooooo Good, but I’m pretty sure not good for me.  Still working to get the house ready for the party.

Saturday: Kids party in the AM, and Family together for the rest of the day.  Didn’t eat well, can you guess why?  Party food and two cakes entered the home in one day.

Sunday: Got to the gym in the AM, lots of great basketball, ate okay, then we enjoyed the Looney’s Debacle.  What is it with me and hunting out poor customer service?

And here we are at Monday AM!!!  How exciting huh!  Down 3lbs to 236.5 and rearing to beat the fries down this week and really kick in the healthy living.
