SEO Losing Weight : Week 5

Okay.  This is really becoming a real challenge.  Staying focused is a very, very difficult and I’m hoping that I can really change my eating desires.  Cravings are the #1 downfall for me.  While I’ve not had soda in weeks, I’ve moved to drinking numerous sweet teas each day, and that’s a problem.  I’m replacing the soda with a sugar filled drink with no real health values and I’m pretty sure that isn’t good.  I’m also eating at work a lot, and not bringing my own food.  The eating choices I’m making at work aren’t great.  Better than I was making, but not great.

So, on this Monday after easter, with Candy in a basket next to me, I think I’m going to add a couple of new goals to the mix of goals to achieve each week.  On top of no soda, no fries, and going to the gym three times a week, I’ll be adding the following:

  • Cook and Prepare all of my meals at home, take them to work with me.
  • Drink on natural juices and water for beverages each day.
  • Begin daily walking at work to prepare for the Arthritis Foundation walk I’m participating in on May 9th.

Shameless Self Promotion: If you can help me reach my goal of raising $250 for the Arthritis foundation, I would greatly appreciate it.  Please take a moment to donate at my AF Walk page.  Even if it’s $10, it helps and is greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

I think these steps will be required to get me really moving ahead on my goal, we now have roughly 7 weeks left to reach my goal and that’s going to take some serious focus.  I will not let this weight thing beat me.  It’s tough, but I’ll fight through, and welcome anyone to join me.

I’ve been listening to “Body for Life” by Bill Phillips today. He talks about a planned cheat day where you can eat or drink anything you want, totally go off plan and not work out. He says it helps your body actually to have one day of feasting, so that you don’t go into fasting mode and hold onto all your body fat. He also says it helps so that it’s not an all or nothing proposition. Maybe if you start planning one day a week to go off the farm, it would help you the other six days of the week?
